How do I find out about current job opportunities?
You may visit our on-line Careers @ SACH to view all current job opportunities at www.careeratsach.org.
- Click on Current Job Opportunities on the left side of the page. Scroll down to Click here to view currently available positions.
- Click All in the Job Categories and Job Locations box on the left side of the page.
- To see all available positions, go to Results Per Page, and choose the highest number page.
- Click search Positions
How do I apply for a position?
- Click the box to the left of the position (a green check will appear)
- Click Add Selected Position button on top right side of page. Note: you may select more than one position.
How long will it take me to complete an on line application?
This may take between 15 to 40 minutes depending on the position you are applying for and your computer skills Please note: If you leave an application page idle for 10 minutes you will automatically be logged out for security reasons. To be sure your information is saved and not lost, hit the submit button at the top right side of the navigator bar after completing each page of your application. If you are unable to complete your entire application within 40 minutes, you may click the Sign Off button in the upper right hand corner. This saves any data already entered. You can log back in at anytime to complete your application and submit it.
What type of information is required on the application?
You will be required to provide the information listed below. Before you begin completing your application you should have the highlighted information at hand:
- Personal contact information
- Position(s) you are applying for
- Education
- Work History: dates, titles, address, phone number, name of supervisor
- License (required for any licensed positions) license number, issue and expiration dates, state issued
- Skills
- Questionnaire
- Background Investigation
- Agreement
How do I log in for the first time?
Go to left side menu and click on Submit Application.
- Click here to Login.
- Click Create New Login.
How do I create my Login Name and PIN?
How do I complete an application?
- Click the start button on the lower right side of the page.
Navigation buttons are located at the top of the screen on each page of the on-line application. A Continue button (move forward) and Previous button (goes back one page) are provided at lower left side of each page.
Please do not use the Enter key or Backspace key to navigate to links as this may cause the system to log you out.
Required fields are indicated by a ** symbol. Please note you will not be able to submit your application unless all required fields are completed.
When you have completed all the required fields you will see a Submit button at the lower right of the page. Click the Submit button to complete the submission of your application.
What if a section on my application shows up as Red?
- Any incomplete sections will be indicated in red. Click on any incomplete section and fill in the missing information.
How do I know if my application has been received?
- If you provided an email address you will receive an email confirming that your application was received within a few minutes.
How do I access my existing application?
- If you have already created a Login Name and PIN please enter them to access your existing application. Please do not create a new login as this may cause application errors.
- Once you have done this you may update your existing application or you may submit your application for a different job.
- You can have your PIN sent to your email address. Note: You must know your Login Name.
- On the Login page go to the Forgot your Pin box on the right side of the page and complete the Login Name and email address. You will receive your email in just a few minutes.
Do I have to submit a new application for each position I'm interested in?
- No, once you have created an applicant profile, your information is saved and ready for you to change, update, or submit for a new position.
- Before you submit your saved profile as an application for a new position, be sure you update any contact information that may have changed or update any changes in your employment history.
- Click on the new position you are interested in and then Click the Submit button.
How long will the process take and when will I be contacted?
- Applications submitted online are immediately sent to a recruiter.
- New applications are usually reviewed within 2 - 3 workdays of being submitted. Due to the high volume of applications received, we are not able to contact each applicant personally.
- If your application is selected, you may be contacted directly for an interview. This process can take as long as 2 - 3 weeks.
What type of information should I bring to my interview?
- We require at least 2 references. Bring telephone numbers of present or previous Directors, Managers or Supervisors. Or you may provide verifiable letters of reference and or your most recent Performance evaluation (must be verified).
When are your positions updated?
- Positions can be updated at anytime during the week, but we do the majority of updates by Wednesday of each week.
How long are positions open?
- Most of our positions are open until filled. Once we have started the interview process the position may be removed from the website.
What is involved in your pre-employment screening process?
- Candidates for employment will be subject to a pre-employment/post-offer medical examination and drug and alcohol screening tests.
- We also conduct full background checks on all final candidates.
- We conduct reference checks.
I am a current employee at San Antonio Community Hospital, how do I apply for a transfer?
- Current employees do not need to complete an employment application. As a SACH employee you must submit a "Transfer Request Form" to your director. We recommend that you attach an updated resume. Transfer Forms are available on the SACH Intranet or in the Human Resources Department.
- Nursing staff should submit transfer requests directly to the Nursing Office.
- You may be contacted for an interview. Staff having gone through the interview process will be notified of the outcome
