Your healthcare needs are uppermost in our minds. We continually assess your changing needs so we can identify new programs and services, as well as refine existing programs to better serve you. For example, we are currently assessing the need to expand emergency and cardiovascular services. This assessment has led us to the reality that you need more access to urgent and emergency care. The tremendous growth in our area means San Antonio Community Hospital must respond and grow with those changes. We want to make sure you and your family receive the best of care, in a timely manner, when you visit our Emergency Department.
Through these assessments we’ve also learned that San Bernardino County's heart disease mortality and incidence rates are among the highest in the state. Responding to that information, cardiovascular services are now an important part of our planning process.
Your donation helps to purchase the most current technology and to hire and train employees who have mastered the skills needed to perform the latest procedures. This enables us to provide new, updated or expanded services. Your annual gifts, contributions to our capital campaigns, major cash donations, and corporate grants help us to achieve our goal of offering the best possible healthcare for you and your family. Capital gifts differ from annual gifts in that they provide specific equipment or facilities to support patient care. The need to expand the Emergency Department, for instance, falls into the capital giving category by virtue of the scope and cost of the project.
