ICIS Access Inside of SACH
| Q: |
Will there be enough computers available for physicians to use? |
| A: |
Yes. Every unit was evaluated for the increased need for computers by Cerner experts, department directors, ancillary departments, and nursing staff. New computers will be installed, included “Rovers” that are mobile and can be taken into a patient’s room. |
| Q: |
What if there are no computers available for physicians? |
| A: |
The nursing staff will be instructed to use the Rovers (Computer on Wheels) to allow the computers in and around the nurse’s station to be used for ancillary and the physicians. If needed, nursing staff will allow physicians use of their computer. This will be continually re-evaluated and adjusted as needed. |
| Q: |
Can I bring my own laptop into SACH and use that to access ICIS? |
| A: |
Yes. The wireless network in the hospital has been updated and tested for connectivity throughout SACH. You will need SACH to download a program (Citrix) onto any computer you plan on using for remote access. To download the program go to www.citrix.com and click on the Downloads link. Follow the instructions on the web page for installing the client on your computer. |
