We Support Breastfeeding - Before,During, and After
Our staff understands the positive impact that breastfeeding has on infant bonding, as well as its proven nutritional value for babies. That's why we've designed a program and trained our staff at all levels to assist those of you who have chosen breastfeeding - before your baby is born, during hospitalization,
and after you go home.

In-hospital Breastfeeding Support
Our Lactation Consultants and Educators are available to assist you while you are hospitalized.
Walk-in Breastfeeding Clinic
We offer a walk-in breastfeeding clinic that is open four days each week to provide assistance and support to breastfeeding mothers. The clinic is held from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at our Family Care Center located at 1125 Arrow Highway in Upland directly across from San Antonio Community Hospital.
We have found that the majority of the mothers who visit our Family Care Center have continued to breastfeed. We collect data to measure success and to help us respond to the needs of the community. This is a free service operated by the Healthy Beginnings Family Care Center.
